Writing
I have done various types of writing: website & blog content for companies (including the overall site structure and layout), opinion-led editorial (on politics, music, technology, social commentary), and analyses (trends, case studies for marketing and design). I’ve also done aspects of pitch deck work, and content strategy development.
Some of my work is below. Even if you don’t see something close to what you’re looking for, I’d love to see if I can help you out.
I’ve written about various topics for mostly online publications. The work I'm proudest of is marketing articles / case studies for The Hard Copy (https://thehardcopy.co/author/deepak/)(design, marketing, branding).
I’ve also been published in Arré,(https://www.arre.co.in/author/deepakgopalakrishnan/) Sify,(https://www.sify.com/topics/deepak%20gopalakrishnan) Cricinfo,(https://www.espncricinfo.com/ci/content/story/author.html?author=376) Firstpost,(https://www.firstpost.com/author/deepak-gopalakrishnan) Sportskeeda, NH7, Business Today,(https://www.thehindubusinessline.com/profile/author/Deepak-Chuck-Gopalakrishnan/) NatGeo India, CNBC, Huffington Post and the back pages of my school notebooks. I’ve written on politics, sports, music (especially Indie music & gig reviews), social commentary, and marketing. And my own Medium.(https://medium.com/@chuck.of.all.trades)

Need content for your company’s site / app / brochure? I can help with fresh content, rework, or for a new section. And yes, I’ll keep it SEO-friendly. I get deeply involved in the process, doing category research, bringing in diverse references, and probably asking a crazy amount of questions.
I’ve worked for various clients, across categories: investment management, health foods, education software, logistics, business process outsourcing, entertainment & music, furniture, AI-SaaS, energy-renewables, sports, and of course, this website you’re on. For some of these, I’ve developed a pitch deck and a few other pieces of marketing collateral as well.
While at my last job, with ticketing company Insider, I was responsible for content - for events, blogs, and SEO, overall. I’m proud of helping the company rank well for relatively new ventures such as sports, new year parties, and travel - significantly improving organic traffic. Links on request, over mail.
I used to do a lot of cartoons & comics. I don’t do much of this anymore, but heck, this is a portfolio site.
I’ve been published in Cricinfo, Sify, Sportskeeda, MTV India, CNBC, Huffington Post, Reuters.(http://blogs.reuters.com/india/tag/sketchy-details/)
I am proudest of my work for MBA prep website Pagalguy, especially a series on post-MBA careers. This has been archived here.(https://pagalguycomics.wordpress.com/)
Higher and hire (me)
Few things give me more joy than actually putting words to paper… Okay, Google Docs. I’d love to work with you, whether you’re a brand, company, agency, designer / developer looking to collaborate, or publication who believes in my points of view or interests.
